Even as young children, many TCF students work to support their families. Yet, they come to school every day — bags on their shoulders, a spring in their steps, and big dreams in their hearts. Despite dealing with hardships beyond their years, they put their faith in the gift of education. They hope for a future full of opportunities, of better lives for themselves and their families.

We believe every child deserves this opportunity. For 27 years, The Citizens Foundation (TCF) has been bringing the less privileged children of Pakistan to school and empowering them to dream. In this blessed month of Ramadan, please consider giving your Zakat, Sadaqah and donations for education, and help TCF keep these dreams alive.

A day in Meer Dadi’s life

Meer Dadi works long hours picking chilies under the sun; the 20p (fifty rupees) she makes goes straight towards supporting her family.

Meer Dadi plays with a geoboard during ‘Choice Time’ at her school

It was during one of her community visits that Ms Uzma Himayati, a TCF teacher, met with Meer Dadi and convinced her family to enroll her in school.

Meer Dadi and her sister both go to the TCF school where they read, learn and play!

Meer Dadi lost her mother a few years ago and is being raised by her grandmother.

Meer Dadi’s grandmother wishes to see her granddaughter become the first doctor in their village.
